Tottenham "ready" to sack Postecoglou as Levy eyes "phenomenal" replacement
Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly “ready” to make a change in the managerial dugout, with chairman Daniel Levy eyeing a “phenomenal” replacement for Ange Postecoglou.
Ange Postecoglou under pressure at Tottenham after disappointing season
While Spurs’ form has taken a slight upward trajectory since the return of key players, having won three of their last five Premier League games and rescuing a dramatic 2-2 draw at home to Bournemouth last weekend, there are some who believe Postecoglou is not the right managerial fit moving forward.

Tottenham face an uphill battle in Europe, though, having lost the first leg of their last 16 tie 1-0 away to AZ Alkmaar, and all eyes will be on whether Postecoglou’s side can overturn the deficit in their second leg on Thursday.
Meanwhile, in the background, Levy and technical director Johan Lange are doing due-diligence on potential replacements for Postecoglou – if they elect not to carry on with the 59-year-old next campaign.
Bournemouth’s Andoni Iraola, ex-Borussia Dortmund head coach Edin Terzić and Brentford’s Thomas Frank are reportedly managers being considered by Tottenham, alongside highly-rated Inter Milan boss Simone Inzaghi.
Reports in Italy have even previously claimed that ex-Spurs managing director Fabio Paratici has privately urged Tottenham to appoint Inzaghi, with the 48-year-old currently leading Inter’s pursuit of a second consecutive Scudetto title after also guiding them to a Champions League final in 2023.
Tottenham “ready” to sack Postecoglou with Simone Inzaghi targeted
Tutto Juve have an update on the Lilywhites’ links to Inzaghi, and the outlet also suggests that Tottenham are “ready” to change managers.
The report claims Tottenham are eyeing a move for Inzaghi, with Levy and Lange “studying” the prospect of hiring him as a replacement for Postecoglou ahead of next campaign.
Inzaghi’s name is said to be very present in Tottenham’s dossier of managerial alternatives to Postecoglou, and going by Felipe Caicedo‘s glowing endorsement of the tactician, it isn’t hard to see why.
“Inter are an unplayable team, come on. They’re very strong and know what they want,” said the Ecuadorian.
“The squad has been together for years. Inzaghi is a phenomenonal coach. I’ve never had a better manager, even though I had top coaches like Eriksson and Hughes.
“Inzaghi has that special factor that other coaches lack. He manages to get inside your head, he tells you the right things at the right time.
“This bond with the players makes the difference. Then maybe tactically he is not yet on Guardiola’s level, but he is an excellent coach. And the results are there to see.
“During the six months I spent at Inter, we didn’t win the Scudetto due to our own fault.”
