Amid questions about his future with the Miami Heat, it has been revealed that Jimmy Butler is renting a waterfront mansion in Miami Beach for over $70,000 per month.

Butler, a five-time All-NBA selection, sold his home in South Miami/Coral Gables home for $8.3million over the summer.

Now, as reported by The Real Deal, Butler is renting his current mansion in the Hibiscus Island neighborhood, with the property listed for sale at $30million.

Butler’s new pad is equipped with a private dock, basketball court, tennis court and children’s playground.

The mansion also has a view of the Miami skyline, a swimming pool with an outside patio, and an entertainment room.

The home is being listed for sale with Julian Johnston of The Corcoran Group, who also represented Butler in his rental.

Johnston has declined to comment on the deal.

Butler has made over $312million in his career, per Spotrac, and signed a three-year, $146.4million deal with the Heat in 2021.

However, there have been suggestions that the player, 35, could soon be traded to a new team, with the Heat a middling 12-10 and owing Butler over $50million next season if he activates his player option.

On Wednesday, ESPN NBA insider Shams Charania reported that Butler’s agent, Bernie Lee, had indicated around the league that his client was open to being traded to the Suns, Mavericks, Rockets and Warriors, citing anonymous sources.

Charania added that the Heat were listening to offers for Butler.

Lee, however, heavily disputed Charania’s reporting, branding it ‘utter bulls***’ and ‘fabricated’ on X.

‘Alright listen. I gave you a pass yesterday because I was busy but if you don’t stop putting my name on your complete and utter made up bulls*** because you know you normally arent worth my time to acknowledge..’ Lee said.

Lee’s denial on X was also retweeted by Heat owner Mickey Arison, while Charania stood by his reporting the following day.

Meanwhile, the New York Post’s Brian Lewis – also citing an unnamed source – reported that the Nets would be Butler’s first choice in free agency if he opts out of his current contract in the summer.

The Nets, though, are not expected to be interested in trading for him during the season.

Butler, now in his sixth season with the Heat, has become a fan favorite in Miami.

His playoff heroics have led the team to two Finals appearances, though they haven’t been able to give the franchise its first title since 2013.
