Rangers v Fenerbahce – Line-ups, stats and preview
Match preview for Rangers v Fenerbahce
Rangers are in a fantastic position to progress in the Europa League when Fenerbahce come to town on Thursday.
The Scottish side boast a 3-1 lead on aggregate, stunning Jose Mourinho and the Turkish side last time out.
Whoever emerges from this tie as victors will face either Roma or Athletic Bilbao in the quarter-finals.
Rangers have had a full week to prepare for this match after being given the weekend off from domestic action, while Mourinho’s men were afforded the same luxury.
The hosts played largely on the counter-attack for the trip to Istanbul and may resort to the same tactics at Ibrox.
It was their second win in three games since Barry Ferguson was appointed as interim manager, replacing Phillipe Clement.
Mourinho went as far as to describe the 3-1 loss as a good result for Fenerbahce considering how badly they played.
His side have not lost away from home since December 7, but their record in knockout European ties away from home is less impressive, conceding two or more in seven of their last 11 on the road.
🎙️ Barry Ferguson says his squad must light the fire in the sold-out Ibrox crowd tomorrow evening as Rangers bid for a place in the UEFA Europa League quarter-finals.

Team news for Rangers v Fenerbahce
Robin Propper was forced off for Rangers midway through the first half of the trip to Turkey last week after colliding with goalkeeper Jack Butland and it looks unlikely he will feature.
Other than that, Rangers have a strong squad available including James Tavernier, John Souttar and Ridvan Yilmaz.
Fenerbahce have a few more issues.
Caglar Soyncu exited in the first leg loss and has joined Jayden Oosterwolde, Rodrigo Becao, Diego Carlos, Bright Osayi-Samuel and Ismail Yusek on the sidelines.
Fred returns from suspension for the second leg, while Anderson Talisca and Allan Saint-Maximin will be pushing for a spot in the starting XI, as well Dusan Tadic, Youssef En-Nesyri and Edin Dzeko.
