Messi loves him: Man Utd leading Man City to sign top target for just £25m
Manchester United are thought to be ahead of rivals Manchester City in a race to sign an Atletico Madrid star, according to a new report.
Man Utd and Amorim looking to sign replacement for Onana
The Red Devils could be extremely busy during the summer transfer window ahead of Ruben Amorim’s first full season in charge at Old Trafford.
At least 10 Man Utd players on £1.8m-a-week could be moved on by Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS, whereas Andre Onana’s future could also be in doubt.

The Red Devils are in the race to sign the striker, who has been in impressive form this season.
Recent claims have suggested that Man Utd regret signing Onana for £47m, with ‘patience running thin’ by those behind the scenes.
As a result, a number of goalkeepers have been linked with moves to Manchester, including Real Madrid’s Andriy Lunin. Manchester United have also made an approach for Espanyol goalkeeper Joan Garcia, who is being targeted by Arsenal, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain.
Now, a high-profile shot-stopper is the latest keeper being linked to join the new Red Devils era under Amorim.
Man Utd leading Man City in race to sign Atletico Madrid star
According to a report from Spain, Man Utd are looking to sign Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak and have identified him as their main target for the summer.
Those at the Etihad are also keen on Oblak to potentially replace Ederson, however, it is Man Utd who are better positioned to sign the goalkeeper. The report adds that Atletico are demanding at least €30m (£25m) to sell Oblak, a fee ‘feasible for a club with the financial power of United’.
Atletico Madrid’s recent elimination in the Champions League to Real Madrid could lead to a number of exits in the summer, with Oblak among those who could depart the Metropolitano Stadium.

The 32-year-old has been on the books with Atletico for more than 10 years now, and during that time, has established himself as one of the best keepers around.
During Lionel Messi’s final years at Barcelona, the Argentine hailed Oblak, calling him “one of the best goalkeepers in the world”.
“It’s good to face each other. He is one of the best goalkeepers in the world at the moment, and it is always good to fight against the best.
“It’s an extra motivation to be able, or to try, to score a goal, with what it means and how difficult it is, as he proves in every game he plays. So it’s good to see him out there but also to face him in the match. This makes them more exciting.”
Oblak is Atletico’s top earner on around €400,000-a-week (£335,000-a-week), a figure which would make him Man Utd’s highest earner, so that may need to be reduced in order for a summer move to go through.
