Everton have a found a level of solidity under David Moyes that the Scot will hope to build on once provided with financial backing from The Friedkin Group this summer.

Everton can plan for summer with safety almost confirmed

Although their safety isn’t mathematically confirmed, Premier League fans can expect to see Everton on the fixture list next season following their consistent run of results under David Moyes.

The 61-year-old has managed to string together a nine-match unbeaten run in the top-flight since his return to Goodison Park, paving the way for a new era next season that could see statement signings made in conjunction with their new ownership.

Sunderland star Chris Rigg is said to fit the profile of Everton’s summer recruitment drive and there is every chance the Merseyside giants could contend for his signature, even if Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly placed a £38 million bid for the Black Cats midfielder.

With Jarrad Branthwaite bound to court interest in the window, the Toffees also have Genoa’s Koni De Winter on their radar as a contingency plan in the heart of defence.

Decisions will need to be made on loanees Jack Harrison, Jesper Lindstrom, Orel Mangala and Armando Broja. The quartet have made varying impacts in a campaign of two halves, but it remains to be seen whether any remain once the move to Bramley Moore Dock officially goes through.

Everton are set for an overhaul in the transfer market this summer.

Following years of underwhelming league finishes and several close scrapes with relegation, Everton are finally a club on the up and their transfer policy is set to reflect that from now on. If recent reports are anything to go by, Moyes may have already positioned himself to strengthen their forward line.

Everton position themselves for complicated Jonathan Rowe pursuit

Per Jeunes Footeux, Everton are ‘particularly’ interested in Marseille loanee Jonathan Rowe this summer and may look to swoop for the star alongside Leeds United. What’s the catch? Rowe is currently on loan at Marseille from Norwich City, but the Ligue 1 side retain a mandatory £12.5 million agreement that is set to be activated at the end of the season.

In short, the French giants would sign the England Under-21 international in the upcoming window before exploring whether they could turn a quick profit or at least recoup what they paid for his services.

Labelled “excellent” by former boss David Wagner, he is clearly someone with a discernible level of talent, as evidenced by his tally of 13 strikes from 38 appearances last term. However, his form hasn’t translated in France, which may open up the opportunity for Everton to offer a Premier League escape route in the summer.

Harrison and Lindstrom’s futures remain up in the air, so could this be a sign that a replacement for one or the other could be in the Toffees’ thinking? Only time will tell.
