Champions League LIVE SCORES: RB Leipzig vs Aston Villa on NOW, Liverpool BEAT Girona – latest updates
Second half
Back underway in the two early games.
Can only get better
Honestly, that first half in Zagreb is up there as one of the worst this competition has EVER produced.
Not a single shot on target in 45 minutes and Celtic look like going through the motions.
This Dinamo Zagreb team are pretty poor so any gear change from the Scottish champions and it’s there for them.
Have they one eye on Sunday’s cup final!?
Could be ahead
Alisson had a busier 45 minutes than looked likely after the opening exchanges when the hosts couldn’t get out their own half.
But the big chances of the half fell Liverpool’s way. First, Joe Gomez should’ve finally scored for Liverpool when rising highest to meet a corner from only a few yards out.
And Darwin Nunez could and should have had a couple to his name. Stephen Warnock put it perfectly on BBC 5 Live, saying: “Liverpool are struggling in attacking areas because Darwin Nunez doesn’t want to be involved until the ball enters the penalty area.
“That’s not the way Liverpool want to play football.”
