AZ Alkmaar welcome Tottenham to the Netherlands for their last-16 Europa League first leg on Thursday.

There is some good news and bad news for Spurs heading to Alkmaar.

Micky van de ven, Cristian Romero and Dominic Solanke all returned to training in the week and are available to selection.

Spurs fans are yet to see Romero and Van de Ven together in 2025 and the pair are regarded as two of the club’s best players.

So it will be a huge boost to see them back in lilywhite for the visitors.

The bad news is that Dejan Kulusevski has picked up a foot injury and was seen wearing a protective boot in his latest Instagram post.

He is expected to miss both games this season, with further tests being done to examine the extent of his injury.

Radu Dragusin and Richarlison remain out, while Antonin Kinsky, Timo Werner and Sergio Reguilon were not registered for the squad.

Alkmaar will be without key midfielder Sven Mijnans, Jayden Addai is also sidelined, while Ruben van Bommel and Mexx Meerdink are both doubtful.
