Atletico Madrid vs Barcelona: Line-ups confirmed for Copa del Rey semi-final second leg
Barcelona travel to Atletico Madrid for the second-leg of the Copa del Rey semi-final with the tie delicately poised at 4-4.
The game follows last night’s eight-goal thriller between Real Madrid and Real Sociedad in the other semi-final, which saw Real progress 5-4 on aggregate after extra time.
In the first-leg clash at the end of February, Atletico raced into a two-goal lead courtesy of Julian Alvarez and Antoine Griezmann.
However, goals from Pedri and Pau Cubarsi levelled the scores before Inigo Martinez gave Barca the lead going into the break.
Robert Lewandowski had then put Hansi Flick’s side in a commanding position with 15-minutes remaining but late goals from Marcos Llorente and Alexander Sorloth evened things up.
It sets the stage for what promises to be another fascinating encounter between two of La Liga’s top sides. Barcelona are yet to lose a game in 2025 while Atletico’s form has stuttered of late.
Here are how the teams line-up for this crunch game in the Spanish capital.
Atletico team news
For the hosts, goalkeeper Juan Musso keeps his place in the Copa del Rey ahead of first-choice Jan Oblak. Meanwhile, long-serving captain Koke is back fit following an injury that has kept him out since mid-February, but he has to settle for a place on the bench.
Defender Cesar Azpilicueta, another veteran, scored a sublime volley at the weekend on his return from a spell on the sidelines. The former Chelsea player starts in defence alongside Reinildo, Jose Gimenez and Robin Le Normand.

Barcelona team news
The big news for the visitors is the return of Raphinha to the starting line-up following the most recent international break.
The Brazilian was absent for Barcelona’s win over Osasuna and was an unused sub against Girona at the weekend, but his return will be a significant boost for Flick’s men.
The forward joins a formidable Barca front-line of Ferran Torres and Lamine Yamal, with Robert Lewandowski a threat coming off the bench.
