Gathered
The atmosphere again steps up a notch as the players gather in the tunnel.
Well, the Arsenal players anyway…
Ipswich making them wait a wee touch longer.
Ready for action
Arsenal coming to the end of their warm-ups ahead of this one.
The crowd really filling up now as the cheers began going in for goals scored in the warm-up. These festive fixtures always bring the best atmosphere.
And have to admit, I’m a massive fan of these jumpers.
‘Have to be brave’
Kieran McKenna insists his side have to ‘show bravery’ if his side want to come out on the right side of the result.
He said: “We need to show the right mentality, first of all. It is a chance to show our togetherness, our spirit and resilience.
“Our organisation is going to have to be really good and we are going to have to show bravery in moments of the game as well to take them on in the way we want to.”
Better for worse
Mikel Arteta insists he’ll be a better coach for having to work out how to do without Bukayo Saka.
He said: “I think so, yes. We started the season with one of the thinnest squads in the Premier League, and we knew that.
“We really dug into that to make sure that we utilise every player in the best possible potential, and everybody has to feel part of it.
“You need to rediscover players in different positions, and different relationships.”
Heating up
Like much of the country, the Emirates can’t escape the fog as the Ipswich players were put through their paces in the warm-up.
The stadium filling up nicely with a little under 20 minutes to kick-off.
